How does photography create a visual platform in which I can act out my own narrative?

The intention of my series is to capture self-exploration, self-expression and self-reflection through self-portraiture, to convey issues such as body image, societal expectations, mental health issues, and personal experiences, through the use of emotion in an effort to examine
identity.

I produced all photographs in a studio setting in order to construct a physical representation of a certain mental state through act of the performance.

I conducted numerous photo shoots using myself as the subject, and director of image taking. This connection to the subject and photographer has been the objective of my art practice throughout the series.

Oblivion: the state of being unaware of what is happening around one.

The series title sums up exactly how i have been feeling while I have been in self-isolation; being unaware of what will happen in the near future. Almost feeling out of control but confined to the one place. It is quite a strange feeling, so I decided to express those feelings in this series.
